Cable operators will fight off 5G with 10-gigabit cable modems

The cable TV industry — represented by the Internet and Television Association (NCTA), CableLabs, and Cable Europe — introduced the industry’s plans to adopt 10G, or 10-gigabit-per-second data networks, as a way to compete with the onset of 5G wireless networks.
