Novatel has announced with Sprint and Verizon their second generation USB EVDO modem. The USB727 is slightly smaller then its predecessor but adds a new feature of having a integrated microSD slot supporting cards up to 4GB. The USB modem is tweaked to work on both Sprints and Verizons EVDO revision A networks that offer up to 1.4Mbps down and up to 500kbps up.

Verizon has the card available now for $100 after rebate on a two-year contract and Sprint gets it in October for $80 with a two year contract.
