Mario blocks will get you arrested

About nine months ago we linked a story regarding home-made Mario style power blocks for use the public. Jake recently dropped us a line to let us know of what type of trouble one may find themselves in while playing a real-life version of Mario.

The Portage County Hazardous Materials Unit and Bomb Detection Unit were called in to downtown Ravenna on Friday morning after seventeen suspicious packages — boxes wrapped in gold wrapping paper with question marks spray painted on them — had alarmed residents.

I guess the residents of Portage County were a little too old to recognize what exactly each of the packages represented. I guess from the standpoint of someone who has never played the game, a wrapped package with a question mark emblazoned on the side would look somewhat suspicious.
