Herkimer passes law to lower volume on car stereos

The Evening Telegram: “The village of Herkimer board of trustees passed their sixth local law of the year at Monday night’s regular board meeting.

As of Monday night, there is a new local law on the books regulating the use of loud vehicle sound systems and boom boxes. Music that is easily audible from 100 feet away during the day or 50 feet away at night is now in violation of Local Law 6.”
